VPAR is a new golf technology that enhances Live Golf Scoring for players. Maek were asked to do a refresh on all brand assets to get it more inline where the brand should sit. The new brands aim is to target the US market.

Approach

Maek did a brand summary where it worked on its strengths and revamped its weakneses for its print and online collateral.

Challenge

The challenge was to create a campaign that encourages IT Managers to register to the MVA website and start learning about new IT technologies by taking relevant online courses. The people with the most courses completed, went to the Microsoft Open doors event that recognises them in-front of fellow professionals.

Approach

Maek Digital created a concept that used keyboard buttons to hold the simple messages of the campaign, which is to Register, Learn and Win incentives.

Results

MVA registrations December 1 – 2,314 MVA registrations March 18 – 4,333 Running the campaign in each country that we have held Open Door in so far has shown an approx. 30% increase on average.

Maek were commissioned to design and develop the online portal for AM•PM, a brand made up of collaborative work of the world's leading sanitary ware manufactures. The site informs customers about the latest ranges and allows them to find their nearest distributor.

Approach

One of the main challenges to the project was to come up with a different way for the user to navigate the content while still allowing easy access to the products. From the homepage, the user chose to view a collection according to their mood at the time. This re-enforced the key value of the brand, which is that each collection is inspired by a human emotion.

An intuitive site, that communicates the core brand values that make up AM•PM and its products.

Challenge

The challenge was to design a site that could support Tearfund's vast digital landscape and bring all their work to life in an informative and engaging way, whilst encouraging site visitors to donate. The website utilises a Sitecore CMS, which Tearfund's technical team had previously developed. Maek created the front-end pages for the technical team to integrate with the CMS.

Approach

Maek took time to understand Tearfund's various charity initiatives and objectives, as well as their digital requirements. The site was then designed as a series of templates to accommodate the varying content modules.

Challenge

To design and develop over 28 websites for the Geronimo Inns group as well as the main company site. Even though Geronimo Inns are a chain, each pub has its own distinctive feel and customer bias depending on its unique location and building style. The brief was to create a user-friendly, visually appealing, templated site.

Approach

Maek were given access to the Geronimo Inn's photo library which contained lots of photos of each pub in all their quirky detail, allowing us to use these rich and colourful images to give each site its own look and feel.

Result

A complete overhaul of Geronimo Inns digital landscape, that is fresh, rich, easy to use and most of all accessible to all its customers.

The initial brief was to design and build the Faldo website that showcased Faldos businesses in course design, The golf series, Enterprise, and his Academies. Followed by designing a brand manual that can inspire course owners worldwide to take on and implement the Faldo Brand and help develop their club members.

Approach

Maek designed a user friendly website that housed Faldo 5 main businesses. A bespoke CMS was attached for easy updates by the internal team.
Maek designed the manual in a simple way using sourced imagery while creating new ones.

Result

A website that contained all Faldo's businesses and a manual that helps Faldo academies to really sell itself to prospective clients.

To design and build 3 touchscreen kiosks that can house children's animations aswell as being simple to use and encourage people along The River Thames to view the content. A website was also developed to support the kiosks.

Approach

Maek used children's drawings to build the interface and give it a playful asethetic. The animated elements add sparkle to the site, while the simple sign posting navigation system is at one with the concept of a walking route along the Thames.

To produce a site that supported V&A's key exhibition of 2008 the 'Cold War Modern 1945 - 1970'. The site needed to encourage visitors to express their thoughts on key themes of the period and the influence on popular culture.

Create an interactive timeline to showcase the works of artists and designers categorized into Art & Design, Film, Architecture and Politics.

Result

Visitors to the exbition increased way beyond V&A's expectation and visitors uploaded comments to the site via a message board which provided V&A with the dialogue they hoped for.

Maek won a creative pitch to design and develop Ministry of Sound's B2b website mshkgroup.com. The site had to promote their four main businesses; Ministry of Sound, Hed Kandi, Euphoria and Global Underground brands.

Approach

Maek saw an opportunity to let the imagery of the businesses do all the talking, backed up by an intuitive navigation system to access content. The site was developed in flash and updated via cms system.

Result

A rich presentation tool that allows MSHK to update the flash site via a simple admin system depending on which client they want to talk to.

Create a flash touch screen interactive timeline of MTV Networks (MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount, Comedy Channel) to showcase key events, with video playback, stills and music. The kiosk will appear at the MediaGuardian Edinburgh International Television Festival.

Approach

Design a clean and simple touch screen slider, integrating simple animation, and video for a fun and playful user experience, whilst having the ability for the client to update the content inhouse.

Design a website for unsigned bands to register in an online competition with the prize to play at the V-Festival.

Approach

Create a UGC platform for bands to sign up and upload their music and videos whilst keeping the design to be youthful, fun and rock 'n roll.

Result

Page Views: 1.8 million Unique Visits: 254,790 Registered Bands: 2,231 After 3 years the competition goes from strength to strength with an increase in bands registering year on year. The site was nominated for 'Best Music Community website' at the BT Digital Music Awards 2007.

For Thom Yorke's Website we were Inspired by the art work on the album cover and animated different versions of the creative and brought it to life. Basement Jaxx album was brought to life using sound and animation to create a rich interactive experience for users who purchase the full album on itunes.
